The sandstorm series

CIA operative Kate Devlin didn’t mean to create a terrorist. Security consultant Nick Cavanaugh didn’t mean to fall for the woman whose mistake put a target on his back.

But intentions only count for so much in the world of espionage, and Kate and Nick are about to learn that lesson the hard way.

The Sandstorm Series follows Kate and Nick—and the family they discover along the way—to the deadliest corners of the world: Yemen, Syria, Mali. Terrorist cells, radicalization, hostage rescue, political betrayal…the threats are real, as are the costs. But so is what Kate and Nick find in each other.

Character-driven, high-stakes, and grounded in research into how terror takes hold and how people survive it, The Sandstorm Series is for readers who want their espionage thrillers to hit as hard emotionally as they do on the page.

Start with book one, The Stars Refuse to Shine, and find out how good intentions go terribly wrong—and how far one woman will go to make it right.
